SUSTAINING THE WORKPLACE (BULLYING & UNACCEPTABLE WORKPLACE BEHAVIOURS)

Safety in the workplace is a shared responsibility. It is important to treat colleagues with respect and to know your rights & responsibilities according to the legislation.

Don’t know what to do about it? All organizations have policy on this.

Who would benefit?
Organizations, teams & people who want to ensure that a culture of respect in the workplace is understood by all. That keeping the workplace ‘safe’ is the responsibility of employers & employees.

Outcomes
1. Shared responsibility for wellbeing in the workplace community.
2. Relevant Legislation – Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Act 1986 (SA)
3. Identify obvious & less obvious signs of bullying or unacceptable workplace practice
4. Understand your workplace grievance procedure & know how to apply this if required to do so
5. Understand the ways in which bullying can be minimized & why it may be part of a workplace system or culture
